BRING OUT YOUR CHANGE!

This is it. The final hours of 2007. The final hours of "Found It, Count It". And thanks to you, fellow participants, for being great change finders. One last day. Keep up the good work!

On my personal level, I found a penny this morning. I've found hundreds of pennies this year. No respect for the little guy.

On a professional level, I saw this story about a librarian who helps authors and "stars". He's dubbed the "librarian of the stars"

Anyway, everyone have a safe and wonderful time celebrating the New Year tonight! Tomorrow (hopefully!) I'll do a "year in review" recap.

This afternoon I took a walk around my neighborhood to pick up a plastic wastebasket. Something simple. But since it was nice outside, I just took my time. Near 5th avenue and 9th street I saw somebody drop a coin then walk on and drop another coin. She just kept walking and could care less what she had dropped. When I got to the corner I looked around and saw it was a dime and two pennies. Score.

The last change pick-up of 2007 occurred at roughly 6:30pm in Park Slope on 7th Avenue near 13th street. It was a penny and I was out with a friend as we headed to dinner at Olive Vine which is a really great Middle Eastern restaurant.

Well done on your collection for 2007! I'd been lazy about updating my blog but have just stuck a new one up covering from August to December.

Oh and I got my first note!! Huzzah.

Best of luck for your project in 2008.
