Yesterday I went to the bank to deposit all the loose change I had accumulated throughout the year that were the result of daily purchases. The total came to $151.
I've found about $35 just lying around. That's about 23 percent of $151.
On the way to the bank I found a dime on 7th avenue. It was pretty beat up and in poor condition. Also collected four pennies throughout the evening. A few of them were lying around in various parts of Union Square.

Found two pennies at the over-priced deli near my apt in Williamsburg. Right where you would predict they'd be: on the floor in front of the register.
