One

I found a penny at the Whitehall station under the steps leading to the platform. It was from 1994.

Canadians think the penny's useless.

Which country will first abolish the penny?

A while back the Koreans abolished the single-won coin. The smallest denomination of currency you can find in Korea now is the 10 won coin (which is worth more or less around US$0.01). Since nothing can now cost less than 10 won, I would argue that now the standard denomination of currency should be moved one decimal point to the left. Of course, all the money would have to be reprinted, and everyone would be confused, and the Korean numbering system is already confusing enough (what with their naming larger numbers by factors of 10,000 and all).
